The Association has for many years supported local charities with funds being raised at our Competitions through selling raffle tickets.

The Charities are nominated at our AGM (if more than one nomination received then the delegates will take a vote on which Charity to support)

For the last couple of years we have , in liaison with NEUVEN who co-run and sponsor , also organised a Battle of the Sexes Charity match to raise funds for a Charity supported by NEUVEN.

Teams comprising men versus women play a match with the women receiving a handicap, which will change yearly depending on the result.

A raffle is held and refreshments sold on the day to raise funds. Officials ,guests and players also enjoy a buffet after the match when the Battle of The Sexes Trophy is presented to the Winning Captain. Trophies are also awarded to a player of the match from both sides. After 3 matches the Women currently lead by 2-1 and will receive a reduced handicap of + 20 for this season.
